At our core, we believe that Mosaic is a people. Our deepest desire is to create a space where your faith can grow as you grow. We believe that faith isn’t stagnant, but dynamic and is meant to evolve with you. The faith you had when you were 10 may not work for you now. We realize this evolution and are with you on that journey.
God's first word about humanity and the world was that they were both "good". We believe in Original Goodness and the image of God in everyone. Dignity, value, gifting, and purpose dwell in each human being equally. We believe the way of Jesus is what allows us to live into these truths
We believe that who you are becoming says more about you than what you believe. Jesus shows us holistic rhythms of being. We strive to understand these rhythms and dwell in them, finding healing along the way.
We believe the Bible is an ancient library – symphony of real voices emerging from real places speaking to deeper truths. This is what makes it so captivating and timely, but it is also why it is so often misunderstood. the Bible is what we wrestle and dance with: a work of literature concerned with what it means to be human, speaking to everyone, everywhere, all the time.
Humans have always needed other humans. Mosaic strives to be a place where belonging is inherently honest, peaceful, challenging, and authentic. Bring your joy, your doubts, your good times, your headaches and heartaches: your whole self.
We gather every Sunday morning at 10 AM at Coalition For Kids in Johnson City, TN to open up the scriptures, our traditions, and to ask questions and consider what is happening in our culture with the hope that it leads to looking more like Jesus as we participate in the healing and repair of the world.
Every Thursday at 6 PM we gather to have dinner creating space to know and be known, practicing presence and intentionality in our relationships.
